Four Directions by Geoscape Rock Shop

Four Directions is a rock, mineral and fossil shop in the Main Street district of downtown Ann Arbor, on the block between Liberty and Washington. It has been selling unique finds on Main Street for almost three decades. Founders Alan and Karen Freedman ran it for more than 20 years before the family-owned Geoscape Rock Shop, based in Paw Paw in Southwest Michigan, took it over in 2021.

The shop offers a curated selection of rocks, minerals, fossils and jewelry from around the world, from fine specimens of amethyst, fluorite and pyrite to polished towers, spheres, palm stones and carvings, plus local artwork and a large variety of gemstone jewelry. The store is wheelchair accessible, family friendly and pet friendly.
