The Quartz Source Rock & Mineral Shop

The Quartz Source Rock & Mineral Shop is a small, much-loved rock shop on Nashua Street in Milford, New Hampshire, right next to Medlyn Monument Co. It claims one of the largest selections of mineral specimens in New England, from amethyst to zincite and plenty in between, sourced everywhere from New Hampshire to Madagascar.

Expect shelves of one-of-a-kind specimens and bins of tumbled stones: citrine points, Herkimer diamonds, emerald beryl, optical calcite, celestite, Shiva lingams, serpentine and ammonite fossils, along with spheres, geodes to crack yourself, Tibetan crystals and pendulums. There’s also gemstone and silver jewelry, beads and candles, and a Junior Rock Hounds page with games and trivia for young collectors.
