Rockhound Shop

The Rockhound Shop is a long-running rock, crystal and mineral store in Victoria, British Columbia, on Vancouver Island. Its building at 777 Cloverdale Avenue was purpose-built for the shop in 1975, and even the outside is worth a look, with colourful panels of rocks from around the world and “museum windows” of mineral treasures.

It describes itself as Vancouver Island’s only complete rock and lapidary supplies store. Alongside crystals, rock, mineral and fossil specimens and tumbled stones, it carries supplies, equipment and books for jewellery makers, stone polishers, soft-stone carvers, collectors and prospectors, plus ready-to-wear jewellery and gifts.
