Stewart's Gem Shop

Stewart's Gem Shop on West Idaho Street in Boise is a family-owned gem and jewelry business that has been operating since 1945. It is known as the home of the Idaho star garnet, the state gem, and sells loose star garnets alongside rings, pendants and other jewelry set with Idaho and world gemstones.

As a full-service jeweler, the shop also handles jewelry repair and cleaning and custom work, and the family has a long history at gem and mineral shows, which is where much of its stone sourcing knowledge comes from. It is a good stop for collectors looking for a genuine Idaho specimen or for anyone wanting a locally made gemstone piece.
